  • (Ages 5-12) - Therapeutic play can help a child work through the stresses caused by significant events or deeper issues. And, it can improve the relationships they have with their family and friends. This is done using specific therapeutic activities (play, music, crafts, games) in a supportive and fun environment. Your child will enjoy several of these play sessions at my office, while you’ll complete at-home exercises to make sure progress and healing is happening.

  • (Ages 13 - 18) - Growing up can feel incredibly overwhelming, and it’s important for teens to know they don’t have to navigate these tough times alone. Counselling offers a warm and welcoming space where they can express themselves freely and feel truly understood. It’s a supportive environment that helps them manage stress, explore their emotions, and build resilience through life’s challenges. Some of the modalities used are Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) which helps teens identify and reframe negative thought patterns, fostering healthier coping strategies. Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) builds emotional regulation and distress tolerance, especially useful for teens navigating intense feelings or impulsivity. Narrative Therapy encourages teens to explore their personal stories, empowering them to reshape their identity beyond problems or labels. Meanwhile, Somatic Therapy reconnects mind and body, helping teens release stored tension and build self-awareness through physical sensations. Together, these approaches create a supportive, holistic space where teens can grow, heal, and feel truly seen.

  • Parent/Individual Counselling offers a supportive space for parents to navigate the challenges of raising children—whether it's building stronger connections, improving communication, or understanding their child’s emotional needs. It also provides a place for parents to focus on their own healing, offering guidance through personal struggles such as grief, emotional overwhelm, or family conflict. By addressing these deeper issues, parents can be more present and grounded for their children, breaking cycles and fostering healthier family dynamics.

Walk and Talk Therapy is the same as traditional therapy, the main difference being that we meet outside in nature. Sessions can happen in ways that work for you and are not meant to be a fitness program. You can choose to walk at a pace that suits you and can take sit down breaks if this feels appropriate.

Walk and Talk Therapy is very similar to a session in an office. When working in an office some people find sitting in front of a therapist really intense and walking together side by side can remove some of this pressure. Scientific research also shows that physical exercise creates more positive feelings within us!
